Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam – To mark International Youth Day, Armada Properties organised a lively pop-up event that underlined its commitment to supporting young people, fostering a sense of community, and boosting local businesses. The event took place on August 12, 2023, at the Tungku Estate Recreation Centre.
Attended by over 300 Armada tenants, the pop-up event was aimed as a platform for young entrepreneurs to shine, showcasing their talents, products, and services. The event saw a diverse range of youth-owned food trucks offering an array of mouthwatering treats from Thai delicacies to homemade burgers and refreshing beverages.
Reflection by the Jayys (RFJ), an incubatee of Armada’s Local Business Development (LBD) programme, showcased their entrepreneurial spirit by providing on-site premium car wash services, ensuring that attendees could have their vehicles cleaned at competitive prices while guests were enjoying the event.
Armada’s tenants were granted an exclusive opportunity to interact with animals from the collection of exotic pet owner Ilham Hamid. Ilham shared insights on how to care for various reptiles, mammals, invertebrates, and insects, providing a hands-on educational experience.
A standout feature of the event was a live art installation presented by Guerilla Artchitects, a group of talented local street artists. Their creative masterpiece adorned the wall of the recreation center, providing a captivating mural backdrop titled “Best of Brunei: A Kaleidoscope of Culture and Colour” which aims to capture the perfect blend of modern urban aesthetics and the diverse cultural aspects that define Brunei.
Armada believes in the potential of our youth to shape a vibrant future and looks forward to more collaboration with local entrepreneurs to build a thriving business ecosystem.
