Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam – Armada Properties Sdn Bhd (“Armada”), a subsidiary of Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd (DA), today held a ceremony to award three contracts to local businesses under its Local Business Development (LBD) Incubation Programme for Facilities Management industry in collaboration with Darussalam Enterprise (DARe). The event was held in conjunction with the Brunei MSME Festival which was held from 16 to 19 March 2023 at the Bridex Hall 1 & 2, Jerudong.
Launched in 2020, Armada’s LBD Incubation Programme for the Facilities Management Industry is a synergised endeavour between Armada and one of DARe’s programme called DARe Links aimed at enhancing and upgrading the capabilities and competencies of local businesses in this industry. The programme provides business opportunities and technical know-how training for local business entrepreneurs in facilities management, while DARe offers training and development through its existing programmes and initiatives.
The event saw the signing of a contract between Armada and Reflection by the Jayys (RFJ) in the housekeeping services sector. Managed by YM Awangku Amirull Azizi Pengiran Jeffry, RFJ was established in 2016 and began as a home-based detailer before expanding to janitorial and cleaning services. Armada also signed a contract with Mohd HMS Enterprise which was established in 2014 by YM Mohammad Haji Md Said. The company provides door-to-door services for air-conditioning and has plans to expand further by increasing the local workforce through i-Ready business contracts with other well-established companies in Brunei Darussalam. The event also witnessed the signing of a contract renewal with Grocer Local Enterprise owned by YM Mohammad Mudza’ffar bin Haji Abdul Rafae’a to operate ‘The Korner’, a convenience store located at Armada’s Rimba Estate and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC).
Armada’s LBD Incubation Programme demonstrates the company’s continuous commitment to developing more local businesses to be facilities management services providers. As Armada has a growing need for facilities management services for the assets under its management, the programme provides a platform for local business entrepreneurs, particularly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), to develop and become experts according to industry standards and expand beyond Armada.
Further, the LBD Incubation Programme is an initiative that aligns with Armada’s mission of contributing to economic development and nation-building through real estate assets and services.
